Tango Telecom is a Telecommunications SW Company with products in the SMS, Data & Voice realms.

We are now looking for suitably qualified degree level candidates with several years of relevant industry experience, initiative and strong motivation for the following role.

Role : SW Test / Test Engineering.

This role will develop and maintain various aspects of the SW Test & Test Engineering function within the Company, covering a broad range of products and technologies.

The primary areas of responsibility will be to develop, maintain, participate in and be a driving force for;

• SW testing of Tango Telecom products ( Functional, System, Regression, Performance , Load, Build Validation, Scheduling, etc )
• Creation and maintenance of a  library / database of Test related documentation and tools
• Monitor, report and contribute to the ongoing improvement of all aspects of SW Quality & Delivery within the Company
• Develop & maintain all aspects of the Test Lab and test environments (Hardware/OS/Software)
• Provide backup to other teams internally within the organisation and externally on Customer site as required
• Participation in the generation and delivery of Product and Test related training material
• Participate in Product related documentation reviews and contributions
• Maintain close working relationships and devise useful lightweight processes for interaction with other teams within the Company
• Occasional International travel

This role will provide the candidate with scope to develop and grow the function within the Company.
Candidates with experience in the some of the following areas would be of particular interest to us;

• SW Test (Telecommunications, IP, Distributed Systems , HA)
• SW Test  (Functional , Regression, Load, Performance, Unit )
• Unix, Linux  (Operating Systems Install , Hardware  Install)
• IP Networking & Interfaces (Physical and logical setup & configuration, Routing Protocols, Ethernet based Telco Port Cards, various cabling standards)
• Telco Protocols ( GSM, CDMA, SS7, Sigtran, SMS/MAP, GPRS/ GTP, ISUP, CAP, INAP, USSD, etc )
• Telco Services (SMS, Voice,  Data )
• Charging Interfaces and Protocols
• SW Quality Metrics
• Databases & Scripting (SQL, Oracle, Shell Scripting, Perl, ASP, CGI )
